Horse races are fun but sometimes you just want the horse you bet on. Welp not to worry because now you can take matters into your own hands. Control an imposter horse in the race that can manually dash in any direction at will. Bump into other horse and manipulate the race to ensure that  the horse with the most votes win. But beware, the more you dash the more suspicion you'll gain, try not to get caught rigging the race.

Controls:

  • hold left click to charge your dash. Chile charging you will stay still and you can use your mouse to aim.
  • Release left click to dash into the aim direction.
  • Right clicking while aiming to cancel out the dash.
  • Press R to restart the current level.

Rules:

  • In each race, you must ensure that the horse with the most votes win. You can check each vote count at the bottom of the screen.
  • You control a mechanical trojan horse that can dash around, Dashing into a horse will push it into the dash direction.  Using this ability you can try to push other horses and the wining horse into the goal.
  • Dashing increases suspicion by 2, you can check how much suspicion you had with the suspicion meter at the top of the screen. Don't get that fully filled otherwise it's game over.
  • Suspicion can be reduced by 1 by bouncing off walls or other horses.
  • Whenever you had an eye icon on your horse means that the next dash will result in a game over if the dash did not mitigate the suspicion via bounces.
  • Try to win every level and have fun. :)

Advanced Tips:

  • Try to dash strategically, instead of continuously spamming it try only dashing at the right time. Remember that there is no time limit in this game so you can take as long as you need.
  • You can charge up to 3 seconds before the dash is performed automatically. you can use this to stop your self in a location to your advantage. Maybe to block a route from horses.
  • Try to observe how the other horses are wining a level. You might be able to learn a wining trajectory for that level.

Sir, are you perhaps the type of person who enjoys moving villagers around in Minecraft?

I beat the game, very nice indeed. I feel like the amount of time holding click should contribute at least a little to suspicion. It was a fun game overall.

Ah yes, Jovial Merryment lore

Jokes aside, I really loved this game. The idea is brilliant and the execution is very fun! The game is very polished and has a surprising amount of strategic depth to it. My only complaint is that holding the dash is a bit overpowered, you could literally use your horse as a wall. I think holding it for a long time should also raise the suspision level: why would the horse suddently stop? :D

Also it would be funny if the game had some kind of a secret achievement for completing the levels with minimal user interventions. It would take a lot of patience, though...
P.S. Encountered a little bug: the game freezes if you click 'Next' on the last level. Not very critical, but still decided to mention it.

Ayy thanks for checking our game out and we are glad that you've enjoyed it. The fact that the hold being very long is intended as being a wall is a valid strategy I had in mind when designing the move set. The hold is also longer for accessibility reasons as well for players with slower reaction times to time their dashes. As for the game freezing it that is also intended. The game is programed to close itself after the last level which does freeze for a while before it happens. It's like that because I don't have the time to make proper menus haha.

Just a heads up my anti-virus did not like this game. So I guess you gotta check that out.

Hello, thanks for checking it out. We can assure you that this game is a legitimate game program made in the Godot game engine that has nothing malicious in it. What your antivirus had reported could be a false positive, but we'll keep an eye out on any potential lead that could caused our game to trigger that. Thanks for reporting it to us btw.
